Our Brazil Fazenda farm coffee comes from Brazil and is grown by the Anrade family and their staff on the volcanic soils of Salitre and Carmo do Paranoia in the Cerrado area in Minas Gerais. This coffee bean variety belongs to the Yellow Icatu and Red Catual families, which are renowned for their premium quality. Between May and July, the beans are picked by machines, which is followed by the Pulped Natural or Honey Process. The then sun-dried Brasil Fazenda beans are roasted in drums, which ensures best development of aromas.
The Andrade family take social and ecological responsibility
The Fazenda Sao Silvestre Farm is located 1,250 m above sea level. It is run by the Anrade family with enthusiasm and offers a long-term perspective to its workers. Moreover, the farm belongs to the Brazil Specialty Coffee Association (BSCA), which ensures fair wages and supports social projects.
Why our coffee is so delicious
Careful roasting makes our Brasil Fazenda into a full-bodied filter coffee without undesired acids. For this reason, we can provide a flavor characterized by a full and pleasant body with notes of nuts and cocoa. In fact, the not too finely-ground beans should be dosed carefully. We recommend that you slowly get used to the rich aroma by not taking too much coffee powder. While you normally use 8 spoons for one pot of coffee, 6 spoons of the Brazil Fazenda are enough. Look forward to its nutty and spicy taste and its soft cereal note.
